It is well know that methane is the second most important non-water greenhouse gas. Coal mining, and particularly coal mine ventilation air, is a major source of anthropogenic methane emission. Compared with CO2, its negative effect to global warming is 21 times worse. Methane emission alone has created world-wide attention.

In China, every year there are10 billion m3 methane being released from coal mines, in which more than 80% is diluted into VAM (Ventilation Air Methane) which is equal to 90 million tons of CO2e.

How to recover and utilize VAM has become the key solution to facilitate climate change. Thus to develop a comprehensive and applicable technology to recover VAM is getting more and more important.

Beijing Tianqing Power International CDM Consulting Co., Ltd and two other parties have jointly studied and developed VAM recovery technology ever since 2005. Separately they are in charge of equipment manufacture, field test, marketing and CDM application. Currently, the technical barrier on low concentration VAM oxidation has been overcome, furthermore it has achieved accreditation from the Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC, it has been successfully applied as a national “863 Program” project. As the exclusive agent, we are responsible for the market development. At the same time we provide clients opportunities to invest in such projects.
